The World Celebrates My Sisters Birthday

// October 31st, 2005 // Uncategorized

Exactly ten years after the Formation of Karnataka state in India, and precisely ten before the Maastricht Treaty formally established the European Union, 22-years ago to this very day in fact, my sister Tilly Josephson was born. In honor of the event I attempted to persuade peoples from Karnataka to Maastricht to form a human chain, and mouth the 22 virtues of my sister in the tongue of their choice. But by Yerevan we had drunk too much at the harvest moon festival and no-one could remember anything after virtue 12, but you can’t say we didn’t try.

A wonderful woman, sister, daughter, friend and National Director for AIESEC Australia among her myriad of roles. Tilly is a blessing to those who know her and an delightful opportunity to those that don’t. Send her birthday greetings (alethea dot josephson at aiesec dot net) and the first to recite all 22 virtues wins a fine Indo-Saracenic building on the nice side of Bijapur.

Tilly, I wish you a most marvelous birthday and hope I can be with you soon to celebrate!
